Third Annual Walhalla Easter Art Show!

Brought to you by the Walhalla Heritage and Development League, Inc., in grateful conjunction with the Baw Baw Shire Community Development Grants Program.

Back yet again by popular demand!

Following on from 2013's inaugural Easter Art Show and the extraordinary success of last year's follow-on event, we're running another Art Show this Easter, with entries once again to be exhibited in the Mechanics Institute in the Main Street of Walhalla from Friday, April 3rd to Monday, April 6th, 2015. All exhibited entries are to be available for sale, so if you'd like an opportunity to get your hands on an original work that appeals to you at a reasonable price, come along -- opening hours for the display of entries will be 11 am - 5 pm from Friday April 3rd to Sunday April 5th, and 10 am - 2:30 pm on Monday, April 6th. Presentation of awards will take place at 3:00 pm on Monday 6th April, followed by the drawing of our "Special Effort" raffle's prize-winner.

This exhibition showcases the work of both local artists and photographers, with all works available for sale. Come along and be part of this major fund raiser presented by the Walhalla Heritage & Development League; you can be assured of plenty to see and do in Walhalla over the Easter weekend, with local bands providing musical entertainment in the Band Rotunda.

As we did last year, we're inviting artists to submit their works and to join us in this annual event, only this year with two special categories: one category for works that specifically relate to Walhalla, as for last year, and a special, centenary category for works with an ANZAC theme.

Anyone wishing to enter their works can obtain an entry form from our Corner Store in the Gold Era shops at the top of the Main Street hill (ph. [03] 5165 6250), or from Barbara Hood at 3 Abbott Street, Moe, Vic 3825 on 0409 048 469 or by means of an email addressed to walhallaeasterartshow@gmail.com. Alternatively, you can download an entry form as a PDF by clicking here. Completed entry forms are to be addressed to 'Walhalla Easter Art Show 2015', c/o 3 Abbott Street, Moe, Vic 3825, and must be received by March 13th, 2015.

Works to be exhibited must be delivered to the Walhalla Mechanics Institute, Main Street, Walhalla, between 11 am and 3 pm on Sunday 29th March, 2015, or may be dropped off during business hours in the preceding week at either Frame by Frame in Moe, or at Morwell Art and Framing. At the conclusion of the exhibition, all prizes and unsold works will be available for collection from the Mechanics Institute following award presentations at 3 pm on Monday 6th April. Staff at the marked collection point will retrieve your works from the display -- for security purposes, it will not be possible for you to remove any paintings yourself.

Your receipt must be presented in order to collect paintings at the conclusion of the Art Show.
